Project Manager [Full-Time]

About the Job:

The Project Manager manages client projects as well as key internal projects.

Project management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project. Prepare reports for upper management regarding stage and status of project. Project managers plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way. This is all done within the confines of a company's goals and vision. Project managers are needed on a wide variety of projects, including construction, IT, HR, and marketing.

The successful candidate will work directly with clients, Suhner Sales Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. He or she will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are complete.

Requires a bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of tasks. Lead and direct the work of other team members. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Job Requirements
  • BS in Engineering, Business or equivalent job experience or equivalent work experience
  • 2-4 years of project management and related experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) PRINCE II certification is a plus
  • Proven success to manage projects and solving problems creatively
  • Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings, standards and specifications
  • Expected travel globally is 10% yearly or as necessary
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
  • Dynamic and highly motivated
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget and timeline

Responsibilities
  • Determine and define project scope and objectives
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
  • Develop project list funnel to prioritize with management
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility
  • Ensure proper resource availability and allocation
  • Maintain a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders

Work Environment/Physical Demands:
  • Climate-controlled facility.
  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • The employee is regular required to sit, stand, bend, crouch, and walk.
